What is the Mix?

The Mix is a weekend-long experience centered on worship, growth, and relationships.
The Mix is made up of churches from all over the Athens-area of many different denominations but unites under the banner of seeing students call Jesus the Lord of their life.

The Mix is planned by local youth leaders in Athens.

Our speaker for this year:

GRANT PARTRICK

Grant Partrick is a part of the team at Passion City Church and serves as its Cumberland Location Pastor. He is passionate about inspiring people to live their lives for what matters most. Grant and his wife, Maggie, live in Marietta, Georgia with their daughters, Mercy, Ember, and Charleigh. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a masters of theology degree.

Grant participated in the first ever “Road to the Mix” event in November. He presented a powerful and engaging message to the teenagers of Athens. Grant is very excited to be back with us in February to continue to mission to deliver the Word of God to the youth groups of Athens, GA.

Alexander Pappas

AMERICAN MADE, AUSTRALIAN RAISED, ALEXANDER PAPPAS REIMAGINES INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC WITH HIS UNIQUE INFUSION OF ALT-ROCK AND POP INFLUENCES.

Growing up in the small town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Pappas drew inspiration from pioneering bands The Killers, Switchfoot, and The 1975. His pursuit of music eventually led him to Sydney, Australia and gained renown as co-frontman of twice GRAMMY-nominated Hillsong Young & Free. During his tenure, Pappas led some of the biggest cries of praise and worship for the next generation, penning iconic, genre-defining youth anthems such as “Alive,” “Wake,” “Real Love,” and “Echo (Elevation Worship)” – songs that have literally changed the world.

The Itinerary

Services

  • Friday: 7:00pm - 8:30pm

  • Saturday Morning: 10:00am - 11:30pm

  • Saturday Evening: 7:00 - 8:30pm

  • After Party: 9:00 - 10:00pm at Athens Church

  • Sunday: Church at Home Church

*Doors will open 30 minutes before each service.

Saturday afternoons are open for your group to spend it any way that brings your group together.
Often groups find ways to serve throughout the city, spend time relaxing with their leaders, or join other groups for fun activities!

On Sunday morning we encourage your group to attend your church's normal worship service and share about the experience. 

Lodging & Transportation

We understand that every church has a unique set of circumstances and opinions concerning Covid -19 response. Therefore, the use of host homes and lodging will be completely at the discretion and responsibility of each individual church.

Transportation to and from events is the responsibility of each church. 

Small Groups

We encourage each church to recruit leaders who can lead and guide the students over the weekend.
We feel that this is the most vital part of the weekend and we provide small group material for this discussion that is available in a digital format before the weekend.

Cost

Cost: $50 (by Jan. 25) & $60 (after Jan. 25)

Price includes the cost of the 3 sessions, small group material, and a shirt for each participant.
Both Students and Leaders will need to be included in this count for registration.

Refund Policy

In the event that The Mix 2024 is canceled due to a state-issued “State of Emergency”, we will refund any registrations received. Refunds will not be issued if a church decides to not attend, due to increased concerns of “weather” or “health-related” factors. Refunds Policy
